Welcome Families and Students

NAFCS Corporation has opened kindergarten registration for the 2025-26 school year.

  • Are you a current resident of Floyd County, Indiana? If no, please fill out the 2025-26 Transfer Request. More information is available below under Out-Of-County Resident Transfer.
  • Do you need to know what school your child will attend (based on home address)? If so, please use the school search tool below or you may call our Transportation Office at 812-542-4707.
  • If you are requesting a transfer to a school that is not zoned for your residence for the 2025-26 school year, please complete the 2025-26 Transfer Request.

The first step of the enrollment process is to contact the school where your address is within the school boundary.

  • Use the School Search Tool to identify your child's school of attendance. Once the school is determined, contact the school for specific information regarding registration.

After making contact with the school and providing required documentation, you will receive a snapcode to complete the registration form for the appropriate school year.

  • Required documentation: Birth certificate, immunization records, and proof of residency.
    • Proof of residency examples: mortgage/rental agreement, electric/utility bill, bank statement, ect.

    Out-of-County Transfer Request

    New Albany Floyd County School (NAFCS) welcomes families from outside district boundaries who want to be a part of our school community. We love opening our doors to new students and creating a place where they can learn, grow and reach their full potential.

    NAFCS maintains out-of-county transfers in as many schools as possible, however due to NAFCS's growing enrollment there may be certain grade levels where not every request can be accommodated. NAFCS carefully reviews each transfer request to make sure every student continues to have a positive, enriching school experience.


    Non-NAFC Resident Enrollment Request Guidelines

    Requests are submitted online by completing the 2025-26 Transfer Request. A separate form should be submitted for each child.

    • Residency: Please complete the transfer request form if you are a resident of Indiana but not a resident of Floyd County.
    • Strong Attendance: Satisfactory student attendance record required.
    • Good Standing: Students must not have an excessive discipline record that includes an expulsion, 10 days suspended from school or other disciplinary infractions.
    • Transportation: NAFCS is not responsible for transportation to the requested school.
    • Term: Students already attending a NAFC school on a transfer DO NOT have to reapply to continue for the next school year.

    • Transfer requests will be processed by an administrator, and parents will be notified as soon as possible.

    In-County Transfer Request

    New Albany Floyd County Schools (NAFCS) welcomes in-district transfer requests from NAFC resident families who desire to enroll their child(ren) in a different NAFC school than their assigned attendance area school.

    NAFCS maintains In-District Transfers in as many schools as possible, however due to NAFCS's growing enrollment there may be certain grade levels where not every request can be accommodated. NAFCS carefully reviews each transfer request to make sure every student continues to have a positive, enriching school experience.

    You now submit your application for Free & Reduced-Price Meal Assistance for your student(s) online.  It’s convenient, private, and allows you to start receiving benefits faster!
